TABLE TENNIS: BACKSPIN

Backspin is produced by starting your stroke above and/or behind the ball and brushing the ball in a downward and forward motion.

Take the position completely off to the left side of the table so that your left hand is located on the left sideline.

Left foot in front of your right foot, with your upper body parallel to the left side of the table. The knees are slightly bent, and the legs a little more than shoulder width apart to give better balance and faster recovery after the serve is completed.

Racket hand and free hand (holding the ball at this point) should be close together at the start of the serve.

Have your eyes focused on the ball at all times. Toss the ball up around 6 inches and at the same time rotate your upper body towards the table which and bring your racket back into ready position, swing forward and downwards while striking the ball this will cause the ball to backspin.

This is good kitty. You give some reasoning to your technique points even. However you need to do this more for M1. P1 achieved.
